Using the Journalfy Travel Journal and App for a weekend away in Melbourne

It first started off as a quiet weekend at home when my partner suggested we go on a road trip just out of Melbourne. I checked the empty calendar I had in front of me and couldn’t think of a reason not to, so off we went. To kick things off, we thought it would be fun to use our Journalfy Travel Journal and Travel Journal App to document the trip.

We weren’t too sure of where we wanted to visit, just that we knew we were keen for a road trip. To get the trip started, we stopped for some delicious bacon and egg rolls from a local bakery near by. A road trip of any type wouldn’t be complete without a couple of hot coffees, so we stopped for these too.

In the end, we decided to take a road trip to Olinda in the Dandenong Ranges, just an hour from Melbourne. We were excited for a day of exploration and relaxation, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The drive to get there is rather pleasant as you pass through curvy roads up the mountain, surrounded by beautiful trees and scenery.

Once we arrived to Olinda, we had built up quite an appetite, so we immediately went to Pie in the Sky. With the place not being too busy, we were able to get our pies and start enjoying them within minutes.

After finishing our pies, we wandered into a nearby shop to try on some funky hats. We had a great time laughing at each other’s picks and snapping a few silly photos. Next, we cozied up by a fireplace at a charming café, savouring our coffees and the warm, inviting atmosphere.

Later, we headed to Olinda Tea House for scones and tea. The place was stunning, nestled among trees and surrounded by nature. It felt like a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle. Afterwards, we found a lookout and enjoyed the sunset, taking in the breathtaking view. Finally, we drove home, eager to write everything up in our Journalfy travel journal, capturing the day’s adventures in detail.
