Why Being an Internet Marketer Works for me?
Why did I become an Internet Marketer? Well, ever since I was 14, I had been working in and out of various cafes. I was a barista for more than 10 years and it had finally caught up to me. Although I loved seeing different people every day, and the work was easy, there was a part of me that didn’t feel complete.
Whilst working as a barista, I worked for myself as a Personal Trainer/Exercise Physiologist. This was awesome as it gave me flexibility and I felt really good about the people I was helping.
Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the work while it lasted. Working at the cafes and being a Personal Trainer allowed me to travel a lot. I had been to over 41 countries with that lifestyle. What I was missing though, was a constant source of income. Working hard for various months, quitting my jobs to travel for months on end, and then returning to do it all again began to tire me out.
So, why an Internet Marketer?
Being an Internet Marketer, on the other hand has opened my world up to a whole new level of possibilities. Working for myself and from behind my computer, I am able to effectively create a lifestyle that is completely fashioned out of my largest passions; travelling and marketing.
When I discovered Internet Marketing it was almost a godsend. I had already started with my travel blog and was producing a small income via Affiliate Marketing (not sure what it is, read my blog on What is affiliate marketing?), but I wasn’t completely free. I still had a job that I needed to be physically present be at.
After realising that the workload I put in at my Marketing job was getting me the same amount of money each week (regardless if I worked really hard), I saw a better opportunity in working for myself. Internet Marketing was perfect for me as it ties in perfectly with my travel blog and lots of the skills I have learnt come from trial and error on my own blog.
To create a lifestyle, which is completely how you desire is very much so within reach for all. Although it can seem impossible at times, or difficult, I am a firm advocate for those wishing to follow their dreams.
If I can go from working in cafes, to working in an office as a Marketer, to starting a travel blog, to quitting my office job and to finally living off being an Internet Marketer and Travel Blogger all within 1 year, you can too!
